Started Friday off driving down to San Diego with Lizard for a KR3W signing at Sun Diego.

Of course tons of kids showed with all the big names like TK, Ellington, Greco, Romar… Mike Plumb.

Ride down took 4 hours! Summer traffic put a kink in my neck, luckily Pia was there and bought me a beer, she also told me not to use this photo.

Then we bounced straight to Hensley’s to wait out traffic. Ran into Gabe, yeah that’s Gabe’s bitchin’ bike, not Lizard’s.

We get inside and Lizard is like, “Hey this is the contest I judged when I was on acid and then passed out when Andy Mac started skating.”

So a couple weeks ago I was skating home from Nuge’s at 4 AM, and I heard music coming from an actual Gypsy trailer at 5 AM. I’m talking like a legit fancy horse drawn carriage with room for lots of people inside, so I rolled in and These Crazy Dudes were playing an accordian, trumpet, trombones, and people were dancing and passing around a bottle of Gypsy Juice.

By coincidence they were playing at Hensley’s this night. They’re called The Blasting Company and they rip, definitely check ‘em if you get the chance.

Donez hooked up the gig, his lens and camera was bigger so he probably got better photos too.

Off to Nuge and Slash’s record schredding debut at footsies, they slayed it.

Whenever I see Purple not double fisted it makes me depressed, like his face here.

Whitey, Karen, and Alex Gourdouros, yeah Alex your name hurts my brain to spell.

You know you guys want to see jacked photos of my brother.

As soon as he finds a power plug for this drum machine, and he isn’t hungover, he’s totally gonna make psych-glam kazakhstan disco mod reggae beats that echo harder than Animal Collective finger banging Milli Vanilli.

It’s amazing how friends will come visit if they know you have air conditioning and a tall can.

Greg and Aaron Snyder killed the BBQ at Billy Ropers new crib. Billy isn’t as trife as he used to be, he has an actual room now. I have mixed feelings about that, next thing you know he’s gonna start rapping or something.

And then we ended the night back in the cemetery watching Kenneth Anger’s short films. His best film Lucifer Rising, has a tweaked history involving Charles Manson and his crew, some of whom did the music in the movie while they were in prison, because they went off and killed some people during filming. Interesting, but it’s no Blind Video Days.
